Elizabeth Hutchinson is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores how fragile materials absorb, record, and communicate traces of lived experience. Working with fibers, found objects, and cast bronze, she investigates how we attempt to collect and hold on to what passes, whether gestures, relationships, or small acts of care. Originally from MA, Hutchinson earned a B.A. in Art History and a B.A. in Studio Art from Messiah University in Mechanicsburg, PA and is currently a second-year M.F.A. candidate in Sculpture at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX. Drawing on experience in galleries, libraries, and special collections, she approaches making as inquiry through research, material, and process.
